  • The Committed to Equality Initiative is a gay rights organization supporting same sex marriage equality rights for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered) community. The Committed to Equality Initiative believes the civil rights and civil liberties granted in the Constitution should be extended to the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered) community. The LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered) community is demanding same sex marriage and marriage equality rights and the Committed to Equality Initiative supports the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered) community in its fight. The Committed to Equality Initiative challenges all members of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgendered) community to commit to equality and support same sex marriage equality and civil rights.

Marriage is a right. It is as fundamental as freedom of speech or the right to vote. By excluding gays and lesbians from the institution of marriage we deny them 1,138 rights, rights that are designed to protect children, financial stability, and families in crisis. It's time for things to change. The Committed to Equality Initiative is an organization dedicated to raising solidarity, awareness and financial support for marriage equality in America. It is a place where people can align themselves with this cause regardless of their religion, sexual preference or political beliefs. Equality is something we all deserve. Commit to equality.
